It is not commonly known that only 7% of human communication comes from the words or the language that we use; 38% comes from tonality or how we deliver those words; 55% comes from our physiology or body language. This is why, for example, first impressions are so important.

A significant proportion of the neuroscience of NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) is devoted to advanced communications skills. There are definable strategies that can easily be taught as to how one can elegantly gain rapport with others; some of this is through language patterns but most is physiological.

Why is it that we automatically warm to some people within minutes? Simple…they communicate unconsciously in a very similar way to us, which makes us feel that they are our friends, even though we have only just met them. Although we all do this unconscious communication naturally, some of us are better than others; however, we can all be taught to do it better. This leads to hugely improved working relationships, bringing more cohesive teams and better sales results.
